Details: Tanners can accomodate 45 people, split into three rooms. The well room provides the unique experience of dining by one of Plymouth's original limestone wells.
The ambience is relaxed, convivial and steeped in the long history of one of England's most famous sea ports. The deep medieval walls and original features create a truly timeless experience. It was from Plymouth that Drake sailed forth to defeat the Spanish Armada and from where the Pilgrim Fathers set off on the Mayflower. That long history and tradition combines with the best of modern food technology to create a memorable occasion, whether it is an intimate dinner for two or a group celebration.
Tanners is housed in the oldest surviving domestic building in Plymouth, the Prysten House. The house was built in 1498 on land purchased by Thomas Yogge, a prominent local merchant.
